Ladakh Tribe Ceremonial Collar (097_COR_014j) length 22" Four strands of 3 mmOriginal Ladakh tribe collar covered with rows of coral tube heishi beads. The piece measures 7 1 2" x 4" with 10" long cord on each side. The main carnelian cabochon measures 22x29mm. Six turquoise nugget beads range from 8x8 17x17mm. Very collectable, in excellent condition. 212g total. Coral and turquoise are favored stones for the Ladakh tribe and traditional ornamentation is worn to indicate social status and to ward off evil sprits.
