On the Promenade, Brooklyn Bridge Airline Ad and is just a fewCreated in 1899, this vintage stereograph features two nearly identical images of the promenade on the Brooklyn Bridge. Stereographs are a unique piece of photographic history. Each consists of two nearly identical photographs, taken roughly 7cm apart from each other, which were typically mounted on a card. When these stereograph cards were viewed with a special device known as a stereoscope, the viewer saw an illusion of a 3 dimensional image.
