Our Chardonnay block was established in 2007 by grafting two acres of our gentle north facing Shiraz block

with distinctly different soil characteristics to the rest of the estate

Blood orange and cherries spiced with caraway seed

the vineyard consistently produces low yields of under two tonnes per acre

reflecting its youthful vibrancy

2024 Yarra Valley Pinot Noir Select:12 Pack Our Chardonnay block was establishedVineyard The Gruyere sub region of the Yarra Valley where Tokar Estate sits, produces a more savoury, dark fruited and structured Pinot Noir than other parts of the Yarra Valley. With 2024 being cooler and wetter, this Pinot Noir shows more red fruits, acidity and elegance than is typical for this site. This Pinot was made from the two Pinot Noir blocks at Tokar Estate, planted in 1996 and 1998. They are both Pinot Noir clone MV6 and are spur pruned
