Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia Capitol Building but from the simple appealMemorial Hall was built to house the art exhibits for the 1876 Centennial Exposition. Over 200 buildings were constructed in Fairmount Park to display exhibits, but Memorial Hall is the only major structure still standing. It has served many purposes since the Exposition, and is currently home to the Please Touch Museum, a children's museum. This vintage photograph of the historic building was captured in 1900.
