They are reusable, and we find that if we wash them after use, we can get many uses out of them. The are made of a durable plastic, and have a rolled edge around the top that enables it to fit securely in most 5 gallon pails. The are made in an FDA approved plant in the US. This is a 400 micron filter size (medium), and we find it is ideal for straining honey.
