Plains Crossing Duck I also hope to evoke

I also hope to evoke a sense of tranquility as the lions survey their surroundings from the high vantage point and shelter of the kopje (rock outcropping)

We stayed in a  cleverly constructed semi-open "castaway" style hut

with its striking white head and expansive wingspan of up to 7 feet

As I stood by the tranquil lake

As the sun's first rays break through the clouds rolling over the vast plains

Plains Crossing Duck I also hope to evokeWatching the giraffe herds loping and striding across the plains is one of my favorite memories of Africa. Crossing the vast plains, the tallest of the land creatures create distinctive shapes and silhouettes against the dusty landscape, blending into space where the sky meets the earth.
