This is a 9' 0" 5 piece weighing 5. 35 ounces. These were referred to as Valice or Suitcase rods. This consists of mahogany colored cane with red intermediate wraps. Oxidized guides accompanied by bayonet tip tops. The 5" grip tapers to the cork reel seat. The nickel silver butt cap is stamped F. E. Thomas Special, Bangor, ME. In my hand, the action is medium
