This one we simply call the ‘best clone’ here at the nursery
There are broken bands of purple in the leaves which are more noticeable at the outer tips of the leaves
The only downside is that the inflorescence does not last as long as most Guzmanias
The leaves are silvery-green
Neoregelia 'Tantrum'
Alluaudia procera VIPP 1-28-19 This one we simply callC. I. T. E. S. NO EXPORT A member of the Didiereacea, signature plants of the Madagascan xeric forests. Few plants are better adapted to growth in desert like conditions than the Alluaudia. The semi succulent, ovate leaves are reduced to about a quarter inch and grow subsessile and vertical in spirals around the spiny trunks. The trunk is silvery green and heavily spined. The spines are used for defense and to gather moisture from the frequent fogs.
