Its a little younger than later Madeira releases and the nose is a bit harsh smoke with intense peat and raisins from the first fill madeira cask. The distillate and peat are more robust and are less overpowered by the cask than later releases, nice oily mouthfeel and luscious sweet fruit and nut dark chocolate bar notes on the palate.
