Artist Statement: My name is Alicia AJ Nequatewa, I am from the Hopi And Navajo Nations in Arizona. I come from the village of Hotevilla, on Third Mesa. My clans are Salt Clan (Navajo) and Badger Butterfly (Hopi). The designs found in my work are inspired by my two Tribal Nations with a flare of my own.
