Welsh Dragon Spoon Rest Tapestry bag fine pin fringe and lovelyThis Welsh Dragon rope plaque was inspired by 9th century ancient Celtic manuscripts which would have been painted by monks onto vellum or calf skin. The dragon was chosen as a symbol of Wales in the time of Henry VII (15th century). This was done in tribute to the Welsh people who had made his victory possible, as he fought the Tudor claim to be the true rulers of Britain.
