Pear 'Packham' (Low Chill) Self Pollinating Fruit Trees & Edibles > Australian Bush Foods adding a splash of colourThe Low Chill Packham Pear is a great choice for Queensland gardeners, as it can grow well in milder winters and only requires 140 chill hours to set fruit. Its self pollinating, so only one tree is needed to produce fruit. This variety was discovered by chance from a Packham pear seedling, selected by a commercial pear grower on the North Coast of NSW. The tree grows to about 34 metres tall, making it ideal for small to medium sized gardens. Supplied
