It is a sculpted type of fairing of a type that showed up on all sorts of racing machines in the late 70's and early 80's. The upper and the lower split around the steering head. A sidenote for history buffs: this is one of the first point nosed fairings that was flat sided and full all the way back to the rear tire. The upper features a rounded number
