Aechmea kentii VIPP 11-27 As Don said in hisFrom the Cutucu Mountains in Ecuadors eastern Amazon, this plant was originally described as a Streptocalyx. A medium sized grower of especially fine merit, it forms a rosette of stiff, narrow leaves to 30 inches wide which blushes deep rose red from the center outward when in bloom. The inflorescence is nested in the center and has a cottony white appearance with blue flowers. Smaller than most other former Streptocalyx, it is manageable enough to
