It has a compact, fan like growth habit with a few narrow, leathery leaves and produces graceful, pendulous spikes of crystalline white flowers. Each bloom features a long nectar spur and a distinctive bright red orange column, which gives the variety its name (rhodosticta means red marked). This elegant species
