He originally began the project with Marcel Poux who was the mayor of Arbois at the time as well as well known vintner and negociant, but Marcel died shortly after the project began. De la Pinte has survived through the years by maintaining a hands off approach by the ownership of the Martin Family for the last 73 years. The inaugural plot purchased was 20 hectares
