Unison South Bank acrobat portrait STHLifeDrawing The band’s changing of hatsWhen I saw Jonathan Last and Manuele dAquino taking turns to balance on their hands in the square behind the Oxo Tower on Londons South Bank, I proposed an artistic collaboration. I asked if they would balance together, making negative shapes with their legs that would make an interesting drawing. They hadnt thought of choreographing their movements in this way before but liked the idea and enthusiastically obliged! Pencil on cradled gesso panel.
