The idea of “black love” has never really been a reality in my life as I was raised by a single mother so my understanding of black love is a separated love so that is why the subjects are always together in all the images because I wanted to image and create a strong bond and oneness between the black couple

Bloom I illustrations warmth and a sense ofAn abstracted plant still life on paper. This painting forms part of a series of studies on paper exploring plants and flowers. I used airbrush and brushes along with emulsion and acrylic paint. The painting measures 39cm x 56cm. The paper was stretched on board with gum tape allowing for a lovely flat surface (usually un stretched paper will wrinkle) the gum tape absorbs and draws the moisture away from the paper. The painting is cut from the board
