Tree Roots and Bluebells Sports It captures the scored earthThis medium scale painting on canvas was the result of a country walk in Spring. The green of the grass and the mould on the tree roots was almost electric ! There were little puddles of rain accumulated around the tree roots. The lovely blue of the bluebells is always a source of great joy to me a sign that summer is on the way and the winter months are finished. I painted an underlay of textured red which peeps through the top layers in places. I
