Hardy – Bougle Agate I In 1914 Ed Payne's passingDescription Particulars For your consideration is a rather scarce Bougle Agate I fly reel in new condition. These were originally made for the Japanese market in low numbers and are difficult to come by. This is the only Bougle Hardy made with an agate line guard. Both winding plate and spool have the teardrop porting seen on the Bougle lightweight series reels. This Bougle Agate I measures 2 3 4" across the pillars and has a frame diameter of 2 1 2."
