It is in very good condition with a small chip on the inner rim and one on the body

Victorian Era Hand Painted Tile of Baby Chicks Smithfield A tall conical vase byA nice Victorian era tile hand painted with an image of baby chicks playing with shafts of wheat. It measures 6" square and is in good condition with little roughness around the edges and traces of mortar on the back. These would be hidden if framed. On the back one edge had been purposely chipped back when it was installed into a fireplace surround. In the late 1800's and early 1900's china painting was a popular pastime. It was one of the few ways
