Commandeered for service during WWII

RMS Berengaria 1936 Sizes:A3 (297x420mm) Archival Print (Unframed) We've created a Christmas cardThe RMS Berengaria sailed from Southampton to New York with up to 4,000 passengers on board on every trip. This vintage menu shows a flame haired siren or mermaid rising out of her shell bed to greet a seagull. Her hair looks like the tentacles of an octopus. Its an imaginative illustration, all part of the romance of being at sea. The food on offer in this 1936 menu may have been for a private dinner on board. Courtesy Herbert Beazley Collection.
