Pyrite octahedra These specimens are seemingly identicalThe Eagle mine is probably best known for its pyritohedral Pyrite specimens. This full thumbnail sized specimen is a great display piece of Eagle Mine Pyrite showing typical striated pyritohedra with sharp, lustrous faces. Its also nearly a floater as there is only a small point of attachment, and it is crystallized nearly all the way around. At one point there were hundreds, if not thousands, of these specimens available and they are now seldom seen
