Endeavour Melby tuning in on the AMEndeavour first arrived at Kennedy Space Center on May 7, 1991. Over the course of her career, she flew 25 missions in all, ending in May 2011. Growing up on the Space Coast, NASA was in our backyard. We live close enough to the launch zone the ground would shake when standing on the beach right as the rockets launched.
