For decades this Pomerol estate was the home base and the calling card of Michel Rolland, the celebrity oenologist who consulted around the world from his perch here; the family sold to Hong Kong's Goldin Financial Group in 2013, but the 1998 vintage is pure Rolland era Bon Pasteur. And what a vintage to be: 1998 was a phenomenal year on the Right Bank, the kind that produced wines built for the long haul.
