Meybauer, Berlin Auction September 1stAn excellent early example of the Bavarian Pilot's badge well executed in silver, weighing 23. 4 grams, measuring 69. 5 mm x 46mm, without makers mark however exhibiting the manufacturing characteristics, such as pin assembly, known to P. Meybauer of Berlin; with deep retail stamping of AWS in centre reverse, with pierced crown and with a pleasing toning to the silver, a period worn badge and an excellent example, remains extremely fine.
