He is one of the most beloved figures in the Color Field movement. 1977 was an important year for Kenneth Noland. The Guggenheim (NYC) hosted his first major retrospective, which later travelled to Washington D. C., and Toledo, Ohio. A major monograph, written by Kenworth Moffet, was also published. Although Noland had resisted
