Patrick Corbineau, VdF Rouge "Conquete", 2021 ITALYCOUNT The Spiegel vineyard holds Austria'sThe "Conquete" vineyard boasts deeper topsoil (70cm or so) on top of a bedrock of tuffeau, the soft limestone that is hallmark to the Loire Valley (also the material from which Corbineau's cellars are dug). Aged in epoxy tank, this shows the sleekness of the vintage, with high acid, a silky texture, and high toned fruit accented by earthy sanguine and floral notes.
