Born in Germany, Pflug and her young family eventually settled in Toronto in 1959 where she lived and worked until her untimely death. A mother of two, Pflug often took inspiration from her immediate surroundings, capturing evocative scenes of domestic life with meticulous attention to detail. Pflug's work is simultaneously imaginative and traditional, a unique paradox that
