Ethiopia, Kingdom. An Order of the Star of Ethiopia, V Class Knight, by B.A.Sevadjian Auction Archive measuring 142 mm (w) xInstituted in 1879. In bronze gilt, marked "MADE IN ETHIOPIA" and maker marked "B. A. SEVADJIAN" on the reverse, measuring 55 mm (w) x 79 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, very light contact, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Star of Ethiopia was instituted in 1879 by Negus Menelik of Shoa (later Emperor Menelik II) and awarded in five grades: Knight Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
