Rare Campo del Cielo Meteorite Argentina Epidote 8gram (9ct)While Campo del Cielo is a well known fall, rare quality specimens from the strewn field are increasingly difficult to find. The Gran Chaco site has been actively worked since its documentation by Spanish explorers in 1576, and though the total known weight of recovered specimens exceeds 100 tons, well preserved individual pieces of genuine character are finite and once collected, they are gone. The fall itself occurred between 4,000 and 5,000 years
