In Sanskrit, the word Kantha means rags. However, these throws aren't made out of actual rags. They are made of a a mix of old saris and other discarded pieces of fabric, sewn together. The original intent of these blankets was to keep people warm while repurposing old fabric. Composition: 100% silk
