It has about 15% stretch length ways. It's made of bamboo cupro, which gives it a very smooth and slightly washed handle, and would make such figure hugging and beautifully swishy projects! It's light to medium weight, opaque, and has a great natural bounce from the pleating. Such a lovely and special cloth! Can't wait to see
